So today the EIC of Men’s Health is claiming that the cover lines debacle is an “intentional” part of a “branding strategy.” Umm, what? Branding yourselves as careless dummies? I’m not a man, but I think I can speak for the opposite gender when I say that I don’t want to read recycled stories from October 2007. I don’t know if the stories are actually original not, but how have the ways to dress for sex really changed in the last two years? Also I don’t think my pull-out poster, oh I mean “work out” poster has expired. Playing this card is stupid and if it’s a legitimate “branding strategy” I don’t think it’s the smartest; they’re still going to be remembered as the guys who recycled cover lines which will probably lead one to think that the stories are recycled as well and opt to purchase some other men’s magazine instead. So thank you, Men’s Health.
I hope this doesn’t reflect badly on poor Taylor Lautner! What a nice kid. I, for one, would totally take any fitness advice he offers. Btw, does that link constitute child pornography?
